Not sure what to wear on Memorial Day? Ya girl has gotcha covered!
Memorial Day is only a week away which means that you’re gonna need something cute and stylish to wear. And with things starting to get better here in the US that means we can start gathering for backyard BBQs! Memorial Day always feels exciting because it’s the kickoff to summer! It means long summer days, ice pops, cute summer dresses, and lounging at the beach.
Not sure what to wear on Memorial Day? I’ve put together three different outfit ideas just in time for the occasion! Since there is so much outfit inspo for Memorial Day on the internet lately I wanted to give you a few outfit ideas that are a bit different but still fit with the celebratory summer theme!
What to Wear on Memorial Day
Blue Shoulder Pad Tee + High Waisted Shorts + Red Sunglasses
I call this my Firecracker Ice Pop look! Now I know it’s not overly red, white, and blue but all of the elements are there. Just in a less obvious way. You have the blue tee, red sunnies, and white crossbody bag that makes it a festive summertime look. Sometimes it’s all about a subtle nod to the holiday and things that make summer well, summer!
Red Puff Sleeve Dress + Converse Sneakers + Sunnies
This dress is actually an Amazon find that I purchased last summer and never got to wear. But I’m still totally in love with it! It’s a great length for petite women and the tie at the waist is so flattering for every body shape. If you know anything about me it’s that I love to pair feminine outfits with more sporty or edgy pieces. That’s why I paired the dress with my white Converse sneakers (I literally wear them all the time) instead of sandals. Although if you want to dress it up these sandals look amazing for a summertime dinner date or brunch. Since I was styling this up for Memorial Day I figured it’s best to keep it casual with a pair of kicks. I added these cate eye sunglasses for a little extra glam and attitude!
Fruit Printed Shorts + White Bodysuit + Chunky Necklace
I purchased these fruit printed shorts from Zara a few seasons back and I am still in love with them for summer. They are such a fun item to style and they just make me happy. I know that this outfit may not be all red, white, or blue but I wanted to include something summery if you’re not one to go for the typical festive dress. In order to keep this look fresh, I paired it with a white bodysuit from Express (the contour collection is amazing!), a chunky gold necklace, and some round sunnies. These exact shorts may not be available but you can get a similar look with some of the fruit printed shorts below!
I hope that these three ideas help you out with what to wear on Memorial Day this year. Let me know which one is your favorite and your plans for the weekend below!
