RealHer Cosmetics Review

**Products were gifted but all opinions are my own.

I first heard about RealHer Cosmetics when I received a few of their lip products in a FabFitFun box. I immediately fell in love with the packaging and story of the brand. RealHer was created by Bill Xiang after the birth of his daughter. Xiang’s goal with the brand is to empower women by using affirmations to name each product. It’s safe to say that this small business is making waves in the industry!

I mean who wouldn’t feel like a badass babe when wearing a shade of “I Am Fierce” or “Women Rule the World”?

Need another reason to love this positive women-centric brand?  RealHer is always cruelty-free and donates a portion of proceeds to a variety of nonprofit organizations. They also tell the stories of women from around the world in their Real Ones series on their website.

RealHer Cosmetics Review

So it’s great and all that RealHer is an empowering brand doing big things in the world. But what are the products like? Well, a few months ago I had a RealHer PR box of goodies sent for me to try out. Keep reading on to see what I think!

Do Your Squats Eyeshadow Palette $28

This eyeshadow palette offers nine natural shades in four different finishes: matte, sheen, shimmer, and metallic. In sticking with the theme of women’s empowerment each shade is an appropriately motivating name. I love that this palette offers a variety of natural shades you can wear every day but also build up for a night out. These shadows are highly pigmented and easy to blend out. RealHer offers three other shadow palettes with fun empowering names as well. Right now I’m thinking about purchasing the “Embrace Yourself” eyeshadow palette as I am in love with the fiery shades!

I don’t know about you but I am always on the lookout for a new eyebrow product. For some reason, I find it difficult to find the perfect formula and shade for my needs. Unfortunately, this brow pencil did not do it for me. It’s not the formulation that’s the problem, it’s the fact that it only comes in one “universal” shade. My brows are quite dark almost black while this pencil is a soft brownish shade. One review on the website stated that it’s buildable for darker brows but honestly, I don’t want to spend time applying it over again to get the correct shade.

While the color didn’t work for me (I really wish it did!) the actual formulation of the pencil is amazing. It is easy to create smooth natural-looking strokes, blendable and lasts throughout the day. RealHer please make one more shade for use dark-haired women!!

Highlighter $25

I think it’s safe to say that a good highlighter is a staple in every makeup collection. I was sent the Confidence in My Glow highlighter and I’ve been loving it. What I love about this highlighter is that the shade is easily buildable for a subtle glow or a more dramatic glowy goddess look. It never looks powdery or cakey even if you apply multiple layers. Confidence in My Glow is a great shade for olive skin while their shade Keep Going is tailored to fairer-skinned ladies.

Matte Lipstick $18

I saved the best for last babes! This is without a doubt my new favorite lipstick shade and matte formulation! I feel like they sent me the best shade for my complexion although I do think this would look lovely on darker and lighter skin tones as well. This matte lipstick has a creamy texture, lasts for hours, and doesn’t dry out my lips. It’s crazy how many compliments I have been receiving on this orange-red shade!

Thank you to RealHer for gifting me these lovely prodcuts!

Have you tried RealHer Cosmetics? What do you think about their concept of creating products around women’s empowerment?
