Since I’ve moved into a new home I’ve been on a mission to turn our spare bedroom into the perfect office/closet (cloffice) space. Having a space of your own where you can get things done, have some alone time, and make your own is so important. So when Photowall reached out to me about sending over an item from their website I had to say yes! Photowall is a company that sells wallpaper and prints that add a lot of personality to your home. What item did I choose? A Photowall canvas print of the one and only Marilyn Monroe!
Photowall was started by two brothers who were unsatisfied with the selection of personalized wall art. They decided to take the plunge and try printing wallpaper digitally and from there the company took off.
Photowall Canvas Print
What products does Photowall offer?
- Canvas Prints
- Framed Prints
- Use of your own photo with any of the above options
I decided to go with a canvas print of Marilyn Monroe because I thought it would go perfectly with the glam vibe that I wanted for my space. This specific print is called Glam and Glory. I love how the base is neutral but it still has bright colors
When I received my Photowall package it arrived in a cardboard tube. At first, I was a little confused because I expected it to arrive in a larger box due to the fact that it is a canvas print. Well, turns out I didn’t read the website thoroughly because you actually have to assemble the canvas yourself. Which isn’t a problem at all! It was very simple to put together!
How to Assemble
The package comes with your print rolled up and four wooden frame pieces. These pieces come with adhesive that you use to stick onto the back of the canvas print. They also give you four brackets to hold everything into place!
All you have to do is unroll your canvas print onto a clean flat surface. Apply the wooden frame pieces close to the edge. If you make a mistake (like I did) and didn’t place it close enough to the edge of the print you can remove it and try again. Although I recommend you to try your best to get it right the first time!
Fold over all of the pieces and screw the brackets into place. That’s it! Your canvas print is ready to hang!
Since my office/closet space is not finished yet I used a command hook to hang it over my vanity. I do like the way that it looks over my vanity but since I’m not sure if I’ll keep it there so I wanted the option of easy removal.
