National Lipstick Day 2021 is this Thursday and to celebrate I’m sharing 5 lipsticks you need to try out for yourself!
National Lipstick Day is celebrated by beauty lovers on July 29th every year. In recent years the holiday has gained popularity with many stores and brands offering special deals on lip products. MAC typically gives away one free lipstick and stores like Sephora or Ulta often have discounts on high-end brands.
I’ve recently made a few new lippie purchases as I wanted to update my collection after not really wearing color over the past year. As a result, I’ve discovered a few new formulas and brands of lipsticks that I have fallen in love with. Like NYX’s Shine Loud Liquid Lipstick and UOMA’s Badass Matte Lipsticks.
National Lipstick Day 2021
Here are my top five favorite lipsticks that have been in my rotation over the past month or two!
Shine Loud Vegan High Shine Long-Lasting Liquid Lipstick by NYX
This has to be one of my favorite lipsticks of all time! This liquid lipstick is truly long-lasting and non-transferable! With this lipstick, you get the benefit of long-wearing color and the shine of a lipgloss. I purchased the color rebel in red and I am seriously thinking about going back to Ulta to buy more shades. I wore this lipstick on the 4th of July and it lasted through dinner and drinks! Just be sure to apply more gloss over the lip color after a meal!
Boss Gloss Liquid Color by UOMA
Ok, I guess I’m just really into glossy lips lately because this is another current fave. I purchased the Boss Gloss in Ambition which is a really fun fuchsia pink shade. I love this gloss because it’s not sticky, it is highly pigmented, and it’s long-wearing. Although some of the shine will wear off if you eat a meal however even when the product is gone it stains your lips so you will still have some color left on your lips. It’s also infused with lychee fruit extract which apparently protects the lips from UV irradiation and stress. #whowouldveeverguessed.
REALHER Moisturizing Lipstick
I have talked about the REALHER lipstick before because it’s one of my all-time favorites. The shade is more on the matte side but it doesn’t look or feel dry. It’s infused with jojoba seed oil, shea butter, and vitamin E, which makes the application super creamy. I have the shade I Am Fierce (all the names are super empowering) which is the perfect red-orange shade.
ColourPop Lippie Stix
ColourPop’s Lippie Stix is a favorite because they are a super affordable lip color and come in a large range of shades. They offer full coverage color and come in a variety of finishes, matte, blur, and cream finish. I love that they feel so comfortable on the lips and contain shea butter and Vitamin E!
Beauty Bakerie Matte Lip Whip
I’ve been wearing the Beauty Bakerie Lip Whip in Mon Chéri which is a matte red lately. I love this lipstick because it’s long-wearing and feels comfortable on the lips. I typically go for orange based reds but I have been loving this blue based shade! Plus, the packaging of this lipstick is too cute!
