Not ready to let go of hot summer days? Then may I suggest picking up a few items from the Elf Jelly Pop collection? This new line is all about subtle shine/shimmer, and creating a naturally dewy look perfect for any time of year. What I love about this line (aside from the under $15 price tag) is that each item is hydrating and is easy to apply. You know I’m all about no-fuss makeup in the summertime.
In all honesty, Elf’s jelly pop line is so cute that I wanted to purchase the entire line. But unfortunately, a lot of the products were sold out! So I worked with whatever I could find. Check out what I picked up from Ulta below!
Elf Jelly Pop
I’ve been loving my cream blushes this summer ( Hello Honest Beauty) so I was excited to try out the Juicy Pop Flush Blush. I originally picked up the shade Peach Pop but I liked it so much that I went back for Berry Pop! For my first application, I was pleasantly surprised by how pigmented this blush was. I figured since it was jelly it would have more of a sheer application. While you can use your fingers to apply the blush I found it much easier to use a stippling brush. Which is probably why they released an Elf Jelly Pop Stipple Brush with this line.
When you apply the Jelly Pop Blush it feels very cool and wet. You can layer on the blush for more pigment but I like to keep it on the sheer side. It’s nice how it also has a subtle sheen so I can skip highlighter all together if I want to! The only downside to this blush is that it can be difficult to blend in once it drys. So be sure to work with it quickly or you may end up with uneven blush! These blushes contain Argan Oil, Vitamin E, and Castor Oil for easy application and hydration.
This is the product that I was the most excited to try out. I have always wanted to be able to create that glossy summertime eye look and this is the product to do just that! Elf’s Juicy Pop Face and Eye Gloss create a subtle sheen when applied all over the lid. You could really just apply this gloss with some mascara for your eye look! The only downside to this is that it does feel sticky on the lids. It is, after all, a gloss so it’s to be expected.
As far as applying this gloss to the face as a highlighter goes I wasn’t that much of a fan. It just feels more sticky and looks like chunky glitter from the 90s. I prefer to stick to using this on my lids!
I used to be a complete lip gloss junkie but over the past few years, I’ve traded in glossy lips for creamy and matte lipsticks. When I saw these juicy glosses I figured it would be nice to go revisit my lip gloss days! I picked up the purple grape scented gloss and was not disappointed. It’s glossy without feeling sticky or tacky. Would I say that these glosses are anything above and beyond your typical lip gloss? Not really but at $6 a pop (pun intended) this could easily become a staple lip product to keep in your bag. They are formulated with hyaluronic acid, avocado oil, castor oil, and coconut oil. So you know its working to keep your lips hydrated too!
Below are some products that I wanted to try but were sold out!
I already own the eye gloss and the lip gloss but I originally wanted to purchase this set. It comes with a mini primer so you can decide if you want to go ahead and buy the regular sized product. The glosses are full-sized so at $15 it’s a good deal!
I have heard such good things about this primer. With ingredients like hyaluronic acid, niacinamide, vitamin A, vitamin C, and watermelon extract how can you not be tempted to try this out?
This cleanser is infused with watermelon extract and Vitamin B5 to help hydrate and cleanse the skin. It states that you can use this to help melt away stubborn makeup.
Another watermelon infused product this moisturizer comes in gel form and uses castor oil to quickly hydrate the skin.
Have you tried the Elf Jelly Pop Line? If so what are your thoughts?
