It’s finally here! The last part of my capsule wardrobe series! Today we are talking all about essential wardrobe accessories. This post is kind of a bonus to the capsule series as I realize that everyone has a different personal style. This is just a list of the accessories that I feel can complete your outfit on an everyday basis. As always pick and choose the items off of this list that work the best for your style!

A cozy scarf is a must in the fall and winter months. Not only do they look stylish (there are endless ways to style a scarf) but they add extra warmth to your outfit. While having different colors is fun I get the most use out of my long gray scarf. I can easily pair it with any outfit and I can wrap it around multiple times when it’s really cold.
If you’re into wearing jewelry then these are the essential accessories to have on hand for any outfit!
Simple Gold or Silver Necklace, Bracelet, and Rings
When putting your jewelry collection together I would suggest pick out a few dainty necklaces that you can wear with any outfit. This way you can play around with layering your necklaces/bracelets or you can keep it simple with one at a time. I tend to go for gold but you can pick any metal that works best for you.
I have to be honest I don’t have many rings in my collection. As much as I love all of the shiny gold jewelry I used to stay away from rings because I used to always keep my nails bare. Since I’ve been an ambassador for ManiMe that has changed! Now that I’m always wearing the cutest stick on nail gels I finally feel like I can draw more attention to my hands with some stylish gold rings!
Gold, Silver, or Diamond Earrings
If you enjoy wearing earrings then you can’t go wrong with a classic hoop, huggie, or stud. These styles are classic so you’ll be able to wear them time and time again! Since these are pieces that you want to keep in your collection for years to come try to pick out tarnish resistant pieces. Maison Miru, Stella and Hass, and Mejuri make great affordable pieces that are gold or silver plated. Which means they are going to last!
Cross-body, Tote, or Work Bag
The kind of bag that you carry is largely going to depend on your daily needs. Do you attend a lot of formal events? Then you’re likely going to need to have a clutch on hand. Do you take a lot of materials to work with you each day? Then a large structured work bag is going to be your BFF. Need a bag for running errands or brunch with the girls? Then you can’t go wrong with a mid-sized cross-body bag.
Whatever bag you choose try to stick with a neutral color that will work with the majority of the pieces in your wardrobe. I tend to go for black, or camel as they usually suite my needs!
I just simply can not live without a good pair of sunglasses. I wear them everyday even in the winter. Not only do they look stylish but they protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. When picking out your sunnies go for a pair that blocks both UVA and UVB rays at 100%. Polarized glasses are also important because they light glare from hitting you directly in the eye. They might cost a bit more but you can’t put a price on your eye health. Besides those cheap sunnies you got at that random boutique might be doing more harm than good.
As for styles of sunglasses it’s really going to depend on your face shape and what you feel looks good on you. Aviators, Ray bans, and cat-eye sunglasses are all great options as they never go out of style. Right now I’m loving the brand Prive Reaux as they deliver high quality stylish shades at a reasonable price.
I know that not everyone is into hats but if you’re going to add a few hats into your wardrobe these are the styles I would choose. A basic baseball cap, wide brim straw hat for summer, and a cozy knit hat to keep you warm in the winter. I personally feel that any other style is going to be more trendy and you might end up tossing in a year or two.
