It’s beginning to look a lot like spring. The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming but our wardrobe and accessories are unfortunately stuck in winter mode. If you’re still pulling out that wine-colored sweater or sporting those dark chocolate brown nails, it’s definitely time for an update. We’re packing up the muted shades and bringing in some COLOR. Check out these 6 fabulous trending colors for spring.
6 Fabulous Trending Colors for Spring
Winter has indeed left the building. Wearing a bold and bright yellow is evidence that the season has changed. This feel-good shade can be paired with a bright orange for a tropical feel or even a nice bright pink. Bright yellow is known to be an attention-grabbing shade. Don’t be afraid to sport those yellow acrylic nails and big bold sunnies.
Blue is such a mood that doesn’t have to be sad. Make waves this spring while rocking this gorgeous shade. Whether wearing it on your nails or rocking a cute outfit, blue commands attention.
Our personal favorite shade of blue that we love to sport starting in the spring is turquoise. This fun vibrant shade can be paired with a variety of bright colors. A few of our favorite combinations included: white, tangerine, pink, gray, yellow, and gold.
We won’t start off this segment by saying something corny like “orange you glad its spring”? Instead, we would rather just tell you how much we absolutely adore this shade and what we like to match it with. Adding orange accessories such as handbags, shoes, and jewelry will bring the right outfit to life. We love pairing orange with what we like to call jewel-tone colors. These shades consist of royal blues and rich purples.
These two color combinations give us a tropical vibe and adding in gold along with these rich tones will bring another level of eloquence to your look. Other shades that pair well with orange are: pink, yellow, white, and nude to name a few.
Lilac is the IT color of the season and is one of my personal favs. With Easter around the corner and spring in full speed, you can count on Lilac being a color that is sure to brighten and sass up any look. This is a color that looks good on EVERY shade. I mean take your pick, between nails, purses, clothing, or even hair, you can’t go wrong. This is a color that pops best when paired with white. However, it looks really good with colors in the same family, such as pastel pinks, mint green, gold, and baby blues. This is the color that is sure to draw attention to anyone’s eye.
Lilac was a great way to segway into this next color. Who doesn’t love PINK. Pink stands on its own as if it is a primary color. The shade range in this tone alone, can cause what we like to call the “all eyes on me” effect for anyone. Pink is such a fun, bubbly, and girly shade however, boys can get in on the action too.
You can pair pink with any color but it most definitely stands out with white, black, red, green, and even orange. Pink when paired with orange/marigold is such a vibe for Spring/Summer 2021. It just screams sunshine and brunches. Try a hot pink blazer with wide-leg orange pants or shorts and you are ready for a day or night full of attention. You can also go for the monochromatic look and pair it with other shades within the family of pink. Talk about a Barbie girl. 😉
Green is my all-time favorite color and it is THEE color of the Spring and Summer. When you think of this color, it is hard not to think of the budding trees and grass during the warm weather seasons. Greens of all shades are gorgeous but “grass” green as I like to call, screams new birth, a shift, a new beginning or a change. You can wear this color on its own or pair it with other complementing tones shades.
Green is not a color to put in the background and it is best when it is used as the focal point of your outfit. Green becomes the focus when paired with yellow, white, black, brown, or even grey. It also looks amazing with a red lip for a classic natural look. It also looks great with pink or orange for a bold look when wearing a block color style ensemble. This is usually when two or more bold colors are patterned together and yet stand out on their own. I mean why not be a rainbow on a cloudy day!
So many gorgeous colors for spring and yet so little time. Hopefully, this will help to accentuate the style you already have and take it up to the next level for spring and summer. Each color listed, no matter how you wear it can help you stand out in a crowd but yet blend in so effortlessly. No matter how you dress it up or down you are sure to be a showstopper this season.
