What’s up dazzling babes! I’ve been wanting to write this post on how to style your loungewear set while still look put together for a while. Now more than ever seems like the perfect time to release this post as most everyone is at home for the time being. This means that it’s incredibly easy to stay in your PJs all day long. As much as I enjoy lounging around in my PJs I have found that it makes a huge difference to get up and put actual clothes on. I’m not saying that you have to get all dressed up. Simply putting on some cute loungewear can do the trick!
Lately, I’ve been finding myself investing in loungewear sets and one-piece outfits. There is no better way to feel comfortable but still look good than investing in loungewear sets! I’ll be honest my usual homeware used to consist of oversized sweat pants and raggedy old t-shirts. Not a cute look. Now that I’ve been incorporating these sets into my daily life I can say that I feel a lot more like myself even when I’m at home.
Never underestimate the effect clothes can have on you mentally. It can be a powerful tool in helping to boost your mood and your confidence even if no one else is going to see you!
Elevate Your Loungewear Set
Tip #1 Tuck it in
I always tuck at least part of my top into my joggers to give it a more polished look. Not only does it make you look more put together but it gives you more of a shape and defined waist.
Tip #2 Add a cool jacket or coat
There is just something about a cool piece of outerwear that can elevate an entire outfit. To break up the black jogger set I added a yellow pea coat that I found at a local boutique Anima in Red Bank last month. I got lucky as it was on sale for only $14!
To add a little something to my rust-colored joggers and off the shoulder bodysuit I added a cool embroidered jacket I found at a consignment shop called Greene Street also located in Red Bank, NJ.
Tip #3 Add some cool accessories
Stylish accessories can completely change the look and feel of an outfit. I am a huge fan of gold necklaces, big hoop earrings, fun sunnies, and hair accessories.
I especially love a thick chain necklace with a hoodie. Dainty pieces can get lost in the fabric of a sweatshirt which is why I prefer chunky pieces for this look. Large earrings are always a head turner and IMO a classic pairing with a sweatsuit set! Oh and don’t forget a cute bag. I paired my black jogger set with a Kate Spade bag from Greene Street Consignment.
Tip #4 Cute Footwear
Stylish footwear always makes comfy clothes look a little more polished. In both looks I am wearing a pair of white converse sneakers. However you could take it up a notch and rock a pair of strappy heels or platform sneakers. I can see it now. A cute jogger set, strappy heels, and a faux fur coat. You could totally make that your going out look!
Tip #5 A a lip
You don’t have to go all out and wear a full face of makeup but there is just something about a bold lip that makes you look like ya got it all together no matter what! Here I am wearing a more subtle pink lip shade but I could’ve really turned it up a notch with a bright red or even purple lip!
I hope that these tips help you to look and feel your best even when you’re at home! Do you have any loungewear styling tips? Be sure to let us know in the comments!
