5 Products to Help With Your Dry Winter Skin

I’m one of those rare unicorn ladies that actually enjoy the cold winter months. I love being able to wear OTK boots, fluffy cozy sweaters, and lots of layers. Not only that but I always think it’s fun to cozy up under a faux fur blanket and watch the snowfall with a cup of hot cocoa! The one thing that I don’t love is dry winter skin!

Ugh, I mean flakey, peeling, and tight skin is what I have been experiencing lately and it’s terrible! Luckily there are some fabulous products that I’ve been using to help keep my skin hydrated and soft!

5 Skincare Products You Need for Dry Winter Skin

Derma E X Sun Kiss Alba Radiant Glow Oil

This has to be one of my favorite oils if not my favorite facial oil that I’ve ever purchased. It contains a blend of jojoba, argan, and seabuckthorn oils perfect for giving your skin the nourishment it craves. It also contains mica for a natural (not glitter) shimmery glow.

What I love about this oil is that you can apply it during the day under your makeup and not look greasy. It absorbs easily into the skin and leaves you looking glowy!

Elemis Peptide 4 Night Recovery Cream-Oil

I have been using this Cream-oil at night from time to time and love the unique texture! It has a lighter feel than pure oil but still thick enough to hydrate your skin overnight. This cream-oil contains a blend of perilla seed oil and Elemis’ night-scented stock oil, which is rich in omega 3, vitamin E, and antioxidants. It’s a great product for those of you who do not like the feeling of a thick night cream or heavy oils. It also absorbs quickly and feels light on the skin.

Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask

You know a product is good when you wake up and your skin still feels as if you just applied it. When you use this sleeping mask you’ll wake up with hydrated, plump, and soft skin. I’ve been using this about once or twice a week for over a year now and I love the results. It contains hyaluronic acid (great for hydration), AHAs for gentle exfoliation, and watermelon extract which has anti-inflammatory properties. I love this mask so much I’ve even mentioned it in a previous favorites post!

Erno Laszlo Hydra Therapy Boost Serum

This next product is definitely a luxury and splurge item but I figured I would include it just in case you want to treat yo self! The Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Boost Serum is an oil-serum hybrid that is easily absorbed into your skin. It contains papyrus vegetable sap to help the skin retain moisture, sea fennel works as a natural moisture barrier, and babassu seed oil a hydrating emollient. It’s also free of sulfates, phthalates, parabens, petrochemicals, mineral oil, silicone, and talc. The one downside of this brand is that it contains fragrance which might irritate you if you have sensitive skin. The fragrance is listed as the last ingredient so it may not contain too much but it’s just something to look out for if you tend to have sensitive skin.

Skin and Co Truffle Therapy Whipped Cleansing Cream

I was gifted a few of the products from Skin and Co’s Truffle Therapy line and I have to say each product is extremely luxurious! Out of all the Truffle Therapy products this Whipped Cleansing Cream has to be my favorite! It’s strong enough to remove makeup but leaves your skin feeling oh so soft! This cleanser contains Black Winter Truffle Extract, Sweet Almond Oil, Mallow Leaf, and Chamomile which is probably why it’s so extremely hydrating. I will be purchasing this one on its own once I run out!
