Looking for outfit ideas for Labor Day? I’ve got three looks that are perfect for any occasion!
Labor Day is almost here which means from now until then I will be squeezing in as many summer outfits as possible. Actually, let’s be honest. Here in New Jersey, the weather is pretty unpredictable so realistically I’ll get a few more weeks out of my summer outfits before the cool weather really starts to kick in. Anyway, here are a few outfit ideas to celebrate the end of summer and the start of fall!
Outfit Ideas for Labor Day Weekend
Paperbag Shorts + White Bodysuit + Sneakers
I recently wore this outfit to Prospect Gardens at Princeton University. I love the fit of the bodysuit (it’s from the Express Contour Collection) and the shorts are so comfortable especially in the heat. While you can dress this look up with a pair of heeled sandals I prefer keeping it causal with sneakers for the holiday.
Blue Top + Shorts + Sandals
I spotted this blue top at H&M and just had to try it on. I immediately loved the fit and thought it would look great with several options. I could see it with high-waisted jeans, shorts, or a pretty flowy maxi skirt. I like how this look says summer but isn’t the typical red, white, and blue that you might see one wear for an American holiday.
Blue Summer Dress + Sneakers + Your Favorite Sunglasses
I found this dress right at the beginning of summer at a thrift shop for only $7! It’s originally by Old Navy and I found that the fit of the dress was just so flattering. I wore it to go blueberry picking at Happy Day Farm (a great spot in central NJ) but I thought it would be cute for Labor Day weekend as well.
A White Summer Dress + Your Favorite Sandals
Since it’s the end of summer why not wear your favorite white dress for the occasion? I love a white dress for summer because it looks so crisp and really shows off your tan. Although you can absolutely wear white after labor day. It’s just a matter of pairing your pieces with some fall accessories!
