Welcome to fall trends 2017 part 2! If you didn’t already check out part 1 for the first 5 fall trends of 2017.
Trends are always a fun way to add a little something different to your wardrobe. I like to try out a few inexpensive piece to see how I like them so that I am not too invested if I end up only wearing an item of clothing for a short period of time. Trends are fun fashion items that can liven up your staple wardrobe.
Remember fashion should be fun and just because something is “on trend” doesn’t mean you should definitely be wearing it. I try not to take trends too seriously and will wear something that is considered “out of style” if I really like it and feel comfortable in it. You should always wear what makes you feel good! Otherwise, what fun is fashion??
Fall Trends 2017 Part 2
Trend #6 Metals and Metallic
Technically you could group the gold trend from part 1 in with metals and metallics but I thought gold deserved to be in its own category. This year I have been seeing a lot of metallic/metals in the beauty world especially with the NYX metallic glosses but I haven’t seen it as much in fashion until now. My favorite way to wear metallic? In my accessories! Shoes, bags, jewelry, hats, and belts are a great way to dip your toes into this trend!
Trend #7 Sheer
Sheer items of clothing are huge this year! I’m sure you have seen sheer bralettes and bodysuits all over Instagram but now we are starting to see sheer fabrics being incorporated into more everyday items. Sheer sleeves and sheer cardigans are a fun feminine way to incorporate this look into your wardrobe. If you’re feeling daring try leggings with a sheer trim going all the way up the side of your leg!
Trend #8 Plaid
When I read about plaid being a popular trend this season I was a little confused. To me, plaid is such a classic print and never really goes out of style. Maybe we can just expect this pattern to be popping up in more unexpected ways like in a clutch, shoes or pants. Either way, you can’t go wrong with plaid for the fall!
Trend #9 Burgundy
Burgundy is always a fabulous color for fall so I was excited to hear that we would be seeing, even more, items of clothing in this color. If you’re feeling like it you can even incorporate this color into a fall makeup look. What do you think about the velvet burgundy lace up corset mini backpack? It is giving me serious 90s vibes.
Trend #10 Fall Floral
Here is another spring trend that is making its way over to fall. The only difference is now we are seeing the floral pattern in more muted darker colors. This is great news because who doesn’t want to wear pretty floral prints all year long?
Trend #11 Fringe
Fringe is one of those trends that feels like it never really goes away. It always tends to go in and out of style. This year fringe accessories have been really big and they aren’t going away for fall. Fringe boots, bags, jeans, and necklaces are all going to be hot items this fall.
