Oh how I just love a bright colorful eyeliner! And Tarte cosmetics definitely delivers with their limited edition Clay Pot Liners! I am a big fan of Tarte cosmetics, not only do they make highly pigmented products that wear all day but they are conscious of using more natural ingredients.
Aside from 100% Pure Cosmetics, Tarte is one of the only cosmetics companies that I receive email updates from and I am sure glad that I do! I found out about the limited-edition Clay Pot WaterProof Shadow Liners from an e-mail and I couldn’t resist trying some out!
These shadow liners come in eight fun limited-edition colors. I initially wanted to try out the rose gold and mint shades but they were sold out! So I settled for unicorn kisses (a really pretty pastel blue), fairy wings (mate lilac) and goldilocks (bright yellow).
The first color I tried out was Fairy Wings. I have to say while the pigment and the color was amazing, it was kinda difficult to apply. At first I thought maybe it was my liner brush that was the problem but I tried out several different brushes and I still had a hard time getting the perfect line.
I kept the look simple with neutral shadow, no black liner, Color Pop lips in Grunge and Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Naughty Nudes. I really wanted the liner to stand out and be the star of the look. Fairy Wings really is bright and beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice. I don’t think that I am crazy about this lilac color on myself but I think that it would look amazing on someone with fairer skin.
This has to be one of my favorite makeup looks ever! I am wearing more of a dramatic eye with Unicorn Kisses in the waterline. I loved how the blue made my eyes pop and made a rather natural makeup look more fun! It even stood in my waterline all day! I tried out this look with two different lips. A pretty pink look by Color Pop and my attempt at making it more fall appropriate with some Grunge by Color Pop. I am still wearing the Amazonian Clay Blush in Naughty Nudes because I wanted to keep the cheeks more natural.
This last look I totally forgot to take a good picture of my makeup look with Goldilocks. I kept the look similar in that I went for a more neutral blush and lip color. I didn’t like the way I looked with just yellow eyeliner so I added black liner underneath to give my eyes a little more pop!
If you love to have fun with your makeup and try out different colors I would recommend these liners! You have to work with them in order to get a perfect line but once you do it stays put and looks pretty darn cool!
Since they are limited edition I am not sure if they will be getting the rose gold or mint color in but I am really hoping that they do. If I can get my hands on those two colors I will definitely make another post letting you know how it goes. Have you had a chance to try out these new liners? If not do you have any favorite bright colors you like to wear on your eyes? Let us know in the comments below!
