Today I am reviewing the Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipsticks from Bite Beauty! I have always admired these lipsticks on my trips to Sephora but for some unknown reason I have never actually taken the plunge and tried one out. Well, I was lucky enough to receive three of Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche Liquefied Lipsticks and the Line and Define Lip Primer from Influenster last month!
This post is way overdue but I received the package while I was on vacation in Italy (let me know if you wanna see a post about the trip!). On top of that, I decided to give my blog a makeover! It was quite a challenge since I am do not consider myself technologically inclined! It isn’t perfect but I do think that it’s a step up from what it was. The redesign just feels more like me! I would love to hear your thoughts on the new look. Constructive criticism is always welcomed! 😉
Let’s get to the good stuff!
Bite Beauty 👄
The three shades that I received are Eclair, Demi-Glace and Flambe. All three colors are highly pigmented so you only need one swipe to achieve the color that you see on the tube.
The formula is creamy and leaves your lips feeling hydrated. Which makes sense since after reviewing their website I discovered that they are made with food-grade ingredients, like coconut oil and Monoi butter. It’s a lovely formula that feels comfortable on the lips and gives you a little shine as well.
Eclair is probably the most wearable color out of all three. It’s a really fun mauvy pink color that adds just a bit of color to your look. It’s subtle but it still adds a brightness to your face. I could see myself wearing this color almost every day!
Demi-Glace is a chocolately mauve shade that is also lovely for everyday wear but I am not sure that it looks good on my skin tone. Check out Kalya from Sheer Beauty wearing Demi-Glace. She is definitely rocking this color! Maybe I can make it work with different eye makeup and blush. What do you think?
The last color I got to try was Flambe and giirrrrl this color is right up my alley! Flambe is a bright redish orange color perfect for the summer transition into fall. There is just something about a bright red lipstick that makes me feel so fancy. I also tend to gravitate toward orange/coral colors in the summertime. I find that these colors work really well with my skin tone and helps my tan to pop!
In addition to the lipsticks, I also received the Bite Beauty Line and Define Lip Primer. This primer glides on creamy and leaves your lips feeling moisturized. My favorite thing about the primer was the yummy minty scent. With that being said would I purchase this on my own? Probably not. If I am going to spend $22 on a lip primer it better make my lipstick last all day. With or without the primer the lipstick seemed to have the same staying power.
I really love the moisturizing formula of these lipsticks and the pigmentation. The staying power is pretty good just be aware that if you’re going to have a meal you are going to have to touch up. Which is to be expected since they do have some shine and contain hydrating oils.
Would I purchase it on my own? Absolutely! I love the colors in this line and the hydrating benefits outweigh the fact that I might have to reapply at lunchtime!
Big thanks to Influenster for sending me this Bite Beauty Voxbox!
